This fake GTA 6 map proves we shouldn’t believe every leak we see

A little over a week. Or, to be more precise, “a week and a half”. This is how long it takes to create a believable fake GTA 6 map.

We wouldn’t be surprised if someone actually tried to leak this video as “legitimate” GTA 6 within a few months.

According to Reddit user u/StikyLizardStudiosYT, they created the GTA 6 map menu to “help demonstrate how easy it is for people to make ‘high quality leaks'”. They add that if they can do this in their free time, someone with more experience can create better things.

Basically, what they’re trying to say is that people shouldn’t be too quick to believe everything they read on the internet.

Of course, since this is the internet, others can’t help but joke. As some have pointed out, these shots are actually from GTA 6, and the OP is a developer working for Rockstar Games. It’s unlikely, but stranger things have happened in the past. For example, who would have guessed that Rockstar would launch a Sprunk vs eCola campaign?

I created a gta 6 map menu to help demonstrate how easy it is for people to make “high quality leaks” (and for fun!) It’s not “high quality”, but I did it in my free time for the past week and a half. If better than me Better people spend weeks or months doing something and they can make it look professional. from GTA6

For now, the only confirmation about GTA 6 is that Take-Two Interactive has high hopes for it and is in development. Everything else is fair game.

From what we know, GTA VI won’t hit shelves until 2025, if not 2026.

At the end of the day, it’s best to wait for Rockstar and Take-Two to confirm anything about GTA 6. Until we get official info, though, we’ll be keeping a close eye on anything Rockstar is doing, like how it recently started releasing dozens of job listings for its next GTA game.
